Project Overview

The split magnetic inductive flowmeter is an instrument that applies the principle of electromagnetic induction to measure the flow rate of conductive fluid based on the electromotive force induced when the conductive fluid passes through an external magnetic field. The split magnetic inductive flowmeter consists of a sensor and a converter. The sensor is installed on the measuring pipe, and the converter is installed at a certain distance from the sensor. The two are connected by a shielded cable. During its use, due to the complex working environment, various problems will inevitably occur that affect the normal measurement of the flow meter. This article mainly provides a brief answer to the problem that the split magnetic inductive flowmeter has no signal output.

The main reasons for the split magnetic inductive flowmeter to have no flow signal output are power failure, connecting cable failure, sensor or converter component damage, process reasons such as changes in liquid flow conditions, and problems with the adhesion layer on the inner wall of the process pipeline. wait. Please refer to the following methods to check and handle.

1. Observe whether the magnetic inductive flowmeter has a fault alarm display, and conduct corresponding inspection and processing according to the meaning of the alarm code. If there is no alarm display, check whether the power supply of the instrument is normal, whether the switch is closed, and whether the fuse is blown. Use a multimeter to measure the voltage at each level to determine the fault.

2. If the power supply is normal, check the connecting cable again. Check whether the wiring of the excitation cable and signal cable is loose, whether there is oxidation or corrosion on the terminal block, and tighten the screws if necessary.

3. Check whether the resistance value of the excitation coil is normal, whether the coil is open circuit, whether there is a short circuit between turns, and whether the insulation resistance of the terminal or coil has dropped. At the same time, the lead opening must be sealed to prevent moisture.

4. For newly installed or replaced sensors, check whether the sensor arrow is consistent with the direction of the fluid. It requires process coordination to determine whether the sensor is filled with liquid. Whether the sensor can be filled with liquid is related to its installation location, and it must be installed according to the prescribed process and method.

5. Dirt adhering to the lining layer of the sensor will reduce the insulation resistance of the magnetic inductive flowmeter. The sensor can be removed for observation. If there is no condition to remove the sensor, the contact resistance and polarization of the electrode can be measured. Voltage, indirectly check and judge the condition of the adhesion layer.

The above are the reasons and solutions for the split magnetic inductive flowmeter having no flow signal output.
