2、 Requirements of electromagnetic flowmeter for measuring water quality
Different water qualities have varying impacts on the measurement accuracy and stability of electromagnetic flow meters. Generally speaking, electromagnetic flow meters need to meet the following two conditions:
1. Liquid conductivity requirements
The liquid measured by the electromagnetic flowmeter must have a certain conductivity, and the higher the conductivity, the higher the measurement accuracy. For general electromagnetic flow meters, it is required that the liquid conductivity should not be lower than 5 microsiemens/centimeter, otherwise it will seriously affect the measurement accuracy.
2. Requirements for dielectric constant
In addition to conductivity, electromagnetic flow meters also have certain requirements for the dielectric constant of liquids. The dielectric constant is an important indicator of the insulation performance of liquids, referring to the relative dielectric constant of a substance in an electric field relative to vacuum.
For most electromagnetic flow meters, it is required that the liquid dielectric constant should be between 2-80. If the dielectric constant of the liquid deviates from this range, it will seriously affect the measurement accuracy and stability of the electromagnetic flowmeter.
