Is a turbine flow meter pulse signal standard?
Time: 2024-07-30
Whether the pulse signal is standard configuration needs to be determined according to the specific turbine flowmeter model and configuration.
Project Overview
For TMB series turbine flow meters, 24V power supply pulse signal output is standard.
Generally speaking, turbine flow meters can output current signals and frequency signals (usually expressed as pulse signals). Among them, pulse signal is a common output form of turbine flowmeter, which is used to convert flow into electrical pulse signal output. Each electrical pulse represents a certain amount of fluid volume. The frequency of the electrical pulse signal is proportional to the flow rate. The greater the flow rate, the higher the frequency of the output electrical pulse signal will be.
However, not all turbine flow meters come standard with pulse signal output. In some special cases, the turbine flowmeter may convert the flow into a standard current signal (such as 4-20mA) output to meet the needs of remote transmission or the use of existing current loop systems.
