The metal rotor flowmeter is an instrument commonly used to measure liquid or gas flow. Its principle is to measure the flow rate of the fluid through the rotation of the rotor. The composition of the metal rotameter:
1. Shell and pipe Connection: The housing of the flow meter is usually made of metal or alloy to ensure its pressure resistance and corrosion resistance. The housing usually has a flange or threaded connection to the pipe so that the flow meter can be installed in the fluid pipe.
2. Rotor: The rotor is the core component of the flow meter, usually made of metal, such as stainless steel. The rotor usually has multiple blades, and as fluid passes through the flow meter, the force of the fluid causes the rotor to rotate. The rotation speed of the rotor is proportional to the fluid flow rate.
3. Sensor: The sensor is used to detect the rotation speed of the rotor and convert it into an electrical signal. These sensors can be magnetic, by detecting magnetic elements on the rotor, or optical sensors, by detecting reflective markings on the rotor.
4. Signal processor: The measured rotation speed signal needs to be processed by the signal processor to calculate the actual fluid flow rate or flow rate. The signal processor can be an electronic component embedded inside the flow meter or an externally connected processing unit.
5. Display and output: The measured flow rate or flow data can be displayed through the display screen. In addition, flow meters usually have output interfaces, such as analog signal output (4-20mA) or digital communication interfaces (such as MODBUS, HART, etc.), to transmit data to the monitoring system or controller.
