Selection of metal tube rotameter for circulating water flow measurement

Project Overview

Recently, a user wants to use a metal rotor flowmeter to measure circulating water flow. The working conditions are as follows:

Working temperature: 50℃

Pressure range: normal pressure

Flow rate range: about 2m³/h

On-site pipeline: DN200 horizontal pipe

Connection method: It is planned to use American standard flange connection.

In addition, customers also emphasized that the price should be affordable and there were no other requirements.

According to the circulating water conditions at the user site, we recommend the selection of metal tube rotor flowmeters for flow measurement: First of all, we recommend the pointer type metal rotor flowmeter based on price and no special signal transmission requirements. Because the temperature is lower than 80℃, it is enough to choose the normal temperature type, and the pressure is also the normal pressure type. The flow rate of 2m³/h is within the range that the DN200 metal rotor flowmeter can measure. The installation method of the metal rotameter is also flange installation, and the flanges at both ends of the sensor are also American standard flanges to match the site. Finally, the length of the instrument pipe body is 200mm (including the thickness of the flange), and the location reserved on site cannot be less than this length.

Depending on the actual working conditions, it may be necessary to consider whether to equip filters, air eliminators and other accessories to ensure measurement accuracy and equipment life.
