Project Overview
When installing the clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter, you should choose a section of pipe that is always filled with liquid, such as a pipe that flows vertically upward or a pipe that flows horizontally. Ensure that the pipe surface temperature at the measuring point is within the transducer temperature range.
Notes on installation of external clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter:
1. During installation, the pipe area where the sensor is to be installed must be cleaned to expose the original luster of the metal;
2. The shielded wire of the ultrasonic signal cable can be left unconnected and should not be short-circuited with the positive and negative poles (red and blue wires);
3. After the sensor is connected, sealant (coupling agent) must be used ) to prevent water from entering;
4. After the sensor is filled with sealant and closed, the sensor shielding wire entry hole must be tightened and locked to prevent water from entering;
5. When bundling the sensor, the clamp (stainless steel strip) should be fixed on the central part of the sensor so that it is evenly stressed and not easy to slide; 6. The contact part between the sensor and the pipe should be coated with enough coupling agent to prevent it from slipping. Prevent air, dust or rust from entering and affecting ultrasonic signal transmission.
Clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter is simple to install and easy to use. It is almost not interfered by various parameters of the measured medium. It can be used in petrochemical industry, water companies, thermal power plants, power plants, papermaking, pharmaceuticals, etc. industry.
