Electromagnetic flowmeter is a flow measurement instrument widely used in industrial fields.
Project Overview
Electromagnetic flowmeter is a flow measurement instrument widely used in industrial fields. With its high precision, stability and reliability, it is widely used in the measurement of various fluid media. Hesheng Measurement and Control HSD electromagnetic flowmeter is suitable for applications with a wide flow range and complex fluid properties, such as chemical industry, petrochemical, metallurgy, electric power, water treatment and other fields. The installation of electromagnetic flowmeter is a key step to ensure the normal operation of the flowmeter. Only by correct installation and debugging can the accuracy and reliability of measurement be ensured.
1. Preparation before installation
(1) On-site environmental assessment: Ensure that the installation location meets the working requirements of the electromagnetic flowmeter, including pipeline conditions, fluid conditions and environmental conditions.
(2) Pipeline conditions: The electromagnetic flowmeter should be installed on horizontal or vertical pipes, and avoid installation at bends, bifurcations or reduced diameters of pipes. The inner wall of the pipe should be smooth, free of rust and sediment.
(3) Fluid conditions: The fluid to be measured should have a certain conductivity, and the fluid should not contain a large number of bubbles, solid particles or fibers and other impurities.
(4) Environmental conditions: It needs to be installed in an environment without strong magnetic field, vibration and corrosive gas.
(5) Select the installation location: Determine the installation location of the electromagnetic flowmeter according to the site environment and pipeline conditions. Ensure that the installation location is convenient for future maintenance and inspection.
2. Installation steps
(1) Install flange: Install a flange that matches the electromagnetic flowmeter flange on the pipe, and ensure the sealing between flanges good. The bolts of the flange should be tightened evenly to avoid the impact of pipe stress on the electromagnetic flowmeter.
(2) Install the electromagnetic flowmeter: Install the electromagnetic flowmeter between the flanges, ensuring that the flowmeter is vertical or horizontal to the axis of the pipeline. During the installation process, the flow meter should be protected from excessive impact or vibration.
(3) Connecting cables: Connect the cables and power cords according to the wiring requirements of the electromagnetic flowmeter. Note that the protection level of the cable should meet the requirements of the on-site environment and prevent the cable from being pulled or squeezed.
(4) Grounding treatment: In order to ensure the safe operation of the electromagnetic flowmeter, the flowmeter needs to be grounded. The ground resistance should be less than 10Ω, and avoid mixing with the ground wires of other equipment.
3. Debugging and Calibration
(1) Power-on inspection: Before powering on, check whether the cable connection is correct and tight, and confirm whether the power supply voltage meets the requirements. After powering on, observe whether the electromagnetic flowmeter is working normally and check whether the meter display is normal.
(2) Zero-point calibration: Perform zero-point calibration on the electromagnetic flowmeter when the fluid is stationary to ensure that the output of the flowmeter is zero when there is no flow.
(3) Full-scale calibration: Perform full-scale calibration of the electromagnetic flowmeter under the full-scale state of the fluid. By adjusting the internal parameters of the flow meter, its output matches the actual flow rate.
(4) Repeatability test: measure the same flow value multiple times under the same conditions and observe the performance of the electromagnetic flowmeter. Is the repeatability good? The repeatability error should be less than the specified value.
IV. Notes
(1) Length of straight pipe section: Hesheng Measurement and Control Electromagnetic Flowmeter has lower requirements for the length of the straight pipe section in front of the meter, but generally requires the length of the upstream straight pipe section to be 5D (D is the distance between the two plates of the flow meter), and the length of the downstream straight pipe section is 2D. When there are flow spoilers such as valves and elbows, the length of the straight pipe section should be appropriately increased.
(2) Installation position and flow direction: The electromagnetic flow sensor can be installed horizontally, vertically or tilted. When installed horizontally, the sensor electrode axis must be placed horizontally; when installed vertically, the flow direction should be upward. Avoid installing the sensor at the highest or lowest point of the pipe to prevent gas accumulation or solid phase precipitation.
The detailed introduction of the installation of Hesheng Measurement and Control HSD electromagnetic flowmeter can ensure the correct installation and stable operation of the electromagnetic flowmeter. In actual applications, the installation plan should be flexibly adjusted according to specific conditions and strictly abide by relevant specifications and requirements.
