I. Instrument body
The meter body is the shell of the vortex flowmeter, and its structure and material selection is usually based on the temperature, pressure and corrosiveness of the measured medium and other parameters. The internal design of the meter body has an inlet, outlet and flow channel, the inlet and outlet channels are circular channels, the middle of the flow channel is part of an annular cavity for the passage of fluids. Instrument body not only play a role in supporting and protecting the internal components, but also has an important impact on the measurement accuracy.
Second, the vortex generator
Vortex generator is the main component of the vortex flowmeter, which is located in the vertical position of the axis of the measurement pipe. When the fluid flows through the vortex generator at a sufficiently large flow rate, it will produce two asymmetric but regular vortices downstream, that is, Carmen vortex street. The shape and geometric parameters of the vortex generator are closely related to the flow characteristics of the vortex flow meter. Common vortex generator shapes are triangular, circular, rectangular, etc., of which the triangular column vortex generator is the most widely used. Third, vortex detector
The vortex detector is used to detect the Carmen vortex signal generated by the vortex generator. Detection of vortex generally have five ways, including the vortex generator in or on the set of detection elements to directly detect the differential pressure, detection of vortex generator around the alternating circulation or the back of the alternating circulation, as well as the detection of vortex columns in the wake of the flow. The detector is made of thermal, stress, strain, capacitance, photoelectricity, ultrasound and other technologies, which are able to sensitively capture the periodic vibration signals generated by the vortex and convert them into electrical signals for transmission and processing.
Fourth, the converter
Converter is the signal processing part of the vortex flowmeter, it will vortex detector detected vortex signal amplification, filtering, shaping and other processing, and then according to the actual need to convert into a pulse signal or two-wire 4-20mA current signal. These signals can be used by secondary instruments or control systems to realize flow measurement and monitoring.
