The vortex flowmeter has two measurement types: basic type and integrated temperature and pressure compensation type. The basic type measures the flow signal under a single working condition, while the integrated type with temperature and pressure compensation can measure temperature, pressure, and flow signals at the same time. After compensation, the standard output is condition volume flow or mass flow.
The temperature-pressure integrated vortex flowmeter is mainly used for steam flow measurement. Steam includes superheated steam and saturated steam. The pressure and temperature of saturated steam are fixed, while the temperature and pressure of superheated steam change with the increase of heat. Therefore, when measuring saturated steam, it is necessary to control the temperature to 100°C and the pressure to one atmosphere, so that the mass flow rate can be calculated based on the density. If the temperature and pressure exceed that and it becomes superheated steam, the density will also change, and the true mass flow rate can be calculated through the steam database.
