Limitations on the use of metal tube rotameters

When using a metal tube rotor flowmeter, the following restrictions and precautions need to be considered to ensure its accuracy and service life:

1. Installation direction: Metal tube rotameter usually requires vertical installation to ensure that the fluid flows from bottom to top. And the verticality must be better than 1% to 2°, and there are corresponding horizontality requirements when installing horizontally. This can ensure the accuracy of measurement. >Media purity: The flow meter has requirements for the purity of the medium. For media containing solid impurities or ferromagnetic substances, a filter should be installed upstream of the flow meter to prevent clogging or damage to the flow meter.

   

2. Straight pipe section requirements: Ensure that the inlet and outlet of the flow meter have a straight pipe section of sufficient length, usually 5 times the instrument diameter, to reduce the impact of fluid disturbance on the measurement.
3. Maintenance and cleaning: When the measured medium is dirty, the tube and float need to be cleaned regularly to keep the flow meter clean and avoid measurement errors.

4. Flow range: metal tube. Rotameter is suitable for working conditions where the flow rate changes relatively slowly, and its measurement accuracy is generally 2.5, which may not be suitable for high-precision measurement requirements.

   

5. Aperture size: metal. The diameter range of the pipe rotor flowmeter is DN15-DN200. It is recommended to use other types of flowmeters for pipes exceeding DN200.

6. Magnetic substances: If the medium contains magnetic substances, it should be installed in the pipe. Install a magnetic filter in front of the flow meter to prevent interference.

   

In summary, the correct selection, installation and maintenance of the metal tube rotameter is the key to ensuring its normal operation and measurement accuracy. Under certain operating conditions, more specific factors may need to be considered.
