Magnetic inductive flowmeters are formulated in accordance with Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction and are used to measure the volumetric flow of electrically conductive fluids in closed pipes.

Project Overview

Applied to the measurement of various conductive liquids in industry. Mainly used in chemical, paper, food, textile, metallurgy, environmental protection, water supply and drainage and other industries, and computer matching can achieve system control. Electromagnetic flowmeter in addition to measuring the flow of general conductive liquids, but also can measure the liquid-solid two-phase flow, viscosity of liquid flow and salts, strong acid, strong alkali liquid volume flow. There are two kinds of integral type and split type. Installation can be divided into different ways of pipe section type and insertion type two.

Magnetic inductive flowmeter according to the needs of different applications can be customised high-pressure electromagnetic flowmeter, wireless remote magnetic inductive flowmeter, sanitary clamp type, explosion-proof type and other types.

一、Magnetic inductive flowmeter installation of different working conditions, ground mounted magnetic inductive flowmeter:

  • 1、Magnetic inductive flowmeter should be installed in the lower horizontal pipeline and vertical upward, avoid installation in the pipeline to the high point and vertical downward position.
  • 2、It should be installed at the top rise of the pipe.
  • 3、Control and shut-off valves should be installed downstream of the sensor, not upstream of it.
  • 4、If the pipe drop exceeds 5m, install an exhaust valve downstream of the sensor.
  • 5、The sensor cannot be installed at the inlet and outlet of the pump, it should be installed at the outlet of the pump.

二、Open-ended discharge piping is installed and should be installed at a lower point in the piping:

  • 1、When selecting the mounting position, special attention should be paid to the fact that the axis of the non-measuring electrode must be approximately horizontal.
  • 2、The measuring pipe must be completely filled with liquid; there should be a straight pipe section of 5 times the length of the straight pipe diameter distance in front of the flowmeter, and a straight pipe section distance of 2 times the length of the straight pipe diameter at the rear.
  • 3、If the measurement pipeline has vibration, on both sides of the flowmeter should be fixed support measurement of mixed liquids of different media mixing point and the distance between the flowmeter to have 30 times the length of the straight pipe diameter for the convenience of future cleaning and maintenance of the flowmeter, should be installed bypass piping. Installation of PTFE lined flowmeter, the connection of the two flange bolts should be careful to tighten evenly, otherwise it is easy to crush PTFE lining with a torque spanner. And avoid negative pressure at the installation point.
  • 4、The flow direction of the fluid and the arrow direction of the flowmeter is the same; pipeline to have a vacuum will damage the lining of the flowmeter, need to pay special attention. There should be no strong electromagnetic field near the flowmeter. In the vicinity of the flowmeter should be ample space for installation and maintenance.
