What should I pay attention to when installing a steam flowmeter?

一、Requirements for straight sections:

• 1、Steam flowmeter must be installed horizontally on the pipeline (pipeline inclination within 5), the installation of the flowmeter axis and pipeline axis concentric, the flow direction should be the same.
• 2、The length of the pipeline upstream of the flowmeter should be not less than 10D equal diameter straight section, if the installation place allows, it is recommended that the straight section upstream is 20D, downstream is 5D.

二、Requirements for bypass pipes:

In order to ensure that the steam flowmeter maintenance does not affect the normal use of the medium, before and after the flowmeter should be installed on the pipeline cut-off valve (shut-off valve), and should try to set up a bypass pipeline. Flow control valves should be installed downstream of the flowmeter, the flowmeter used upstream of the installed shut-off valve must be fully open, to avoid the upstream part of the fluid to produce unsteady flow phenomenon.

三、Installation site:

The steam flowmeter should be installed in a place where it is easy to maintain and free from strong electromagnetic interference and heat radiation.

四、Requirements for the external environment:

Steam vortex flowmeter is best installed indoors, must be installed outdoors, be sure to use the sun, rain, lightning protection measures, so as not to affect the service life.

五、Mounting Welding

• 1、Users with another pair of standard flanges welded to the front and rear pipelines. Welding with steam flow meter is not allowed.
• 2、Before installing the steam flowmeter, the pipeline should be cleaned of debris: debris, welding slag, stones, dust, etc. It is recommended to install a filter with a 5-μm pore size upstream for blocking liquid droplets and sand particles. It is best to use an equal diameter pipe (or bypass pipe) instead of the flowmeter to blow the pipe. To ensure that the flowmeter is not damaged during use.
• 3、Install the steam flowmeter so that the sealing gasket between the flanges is not recessed into the pipe to prevent interference with normal flow measurement.
