1. Saturated steam dryness

When measuring saturated steam with a vortex flowmeter, the saturated steam dryness is required to be no less than 85%. However, in actual working conditions, the saturated steam The dryness level in the boiler is already lower than 100%, and when passing through a section of the pipeline, the dryness level will be lower than 85%, thus reducing the measurement accuracy.

2. Measuring pipeline flow velocity

Measurement errors caused by uneven flow velocity in pipelines or uneven distribution of fluid in pipelines. There are solids trapped in the gas, and there may be sediments. The bluffs may be corroded, and a filter needs to be installed in front of the pipeline. There is liquid trapped in the air, and there are liquid deposits in the pipes. Liquid removal equipment needs to be added before entering the meter. For some media that are prone to liquid deposits affected by seasonal temperatures, a heating system is required to increase the dew point value to avoid liquid discharge. Sediments are precipitated.

3. Measuring pipe vibration

If there is vibration of equipment or pipes at the installation site of the vortex flowmeter, it will affect the measurement accuracy. Therefore, when choosing an installation location, you should try to avoid vibration sources. When installing a vortex flowmeter in a vibrating site, anti-vibration brackets should be installed before and after the meter.

4. Contamination of the vortex generator of the flowmeter

The generator of the vortex flowmeter is easily contaminated by the medium or entangled with dirt, thus changing the geometric size of the vortex generator. The flow coefficient also changes accordingly, so pay attention to cleaning during use.

5. Flowmeter installation

The installation of the vortex flowmeter has certain requirements for its front and rear straight pipe sections. Failure to meet the requirements will affect the correct formation of the Karman vortex principle, thereby affecting the Measurement value of saturated steam; some gases or steam require on-site temperature and pressure compensation. For temperature and pressure compensation that is a separate vortex flowmeter, when installing temperature and pressure instruments, you need to pay attention to the flow direction of the fluid and not create vortices that affect the measurement.
