1. Selection measures

Select a flowmeter with insulation device according to actual working conditions, pay attention during installation Choose a dry location free of rain, snow and dripping.

2. Insulation measures

Insulate the parts of the flow meter that are prone to freezing or that are afraid of freezing with insulation materials. In addition, regular inspections and frequent drainage are required to prevent damage to the insulation materials of the packaging.

3. Heat tracing measures

1. Steam heating

Before supplying steam with insulation in winter, check whether the steam insulation pipe is smooth or blocked. The best situation is to keep the steam flowing 24 hours a day and not to make it too hot. Sometimes, the amount of insulation steam must be adjusted according to changes in weather temperature to prevent the temperature from being too high and causing the condensate in the pressure pipe of the transmitter to vaporize and affect the operation of the transmitter. Or because the temperature is too low, the condensate in the pressure pipe of the transmitter freezes, affecting the smooth operation of the transmitter.

2. Thermal insulation protection box

The electric heating tube heating insulation box consists of three parts: the box, the heater, and the flow meter bracket. The box is equipped with an electrical heating device. (Electric heating tube, temperature controller), a socket is installed on the side of the box. When the power is turned on, when the inside of the box is heated to the required temperature, the temperature controller turns on the power and continues to heat up. Through repeated work, the temperature inside the box can be maintained within a certain range. In addition, you can also add a layer of thermal insulation cotton to the key flow meter box, and add glue to seal the door of the thermal insulation box and the inlet and outlet of the pipeline to achieve better insulation and antifreeze effects of the flow meter system.

3. Electric heating belt

Electric heating insulation technology is a new type of heating technology that directly converts electrical energy into thermal energy. Install an insulated cable, wrap the heating tape around the flow meter, or stick it inside the flow meter cabinet (but pay attention to the length of the heating tape used, and it must be economical and moderate).

IV. Inspection Measures

If conditions permit, inspection personnel can be arranged to conduct regular inspections according to scheduled inspection routes. During the inspection, it is necessary to check whether the insulation pipeline valves are normal, whether the insulation box is normal, whether the drainage device is normal, whether the insulation material packaging is intact, whether the electric heating and power supply components are normal, etc. Carry out major inspections on the instruments of the freezing-prone devices and make inspection records. Perform dry, complete and clean maintenance on the instruments and instruments and their thermal insulation and anti-freezing measures, and promptly solve on-site thermal insulation and heating problems. For steam tracing, due to the large temperature difference in winter, inspection personnel should adjust the tracing steam flow according to temperature changes. The steam flow rate can be determined by observing the steam exhaust condition of the tracing steam pipe trap. Continuous exhaust steam from the steam trap indicates that the steam flow rate is too large. Failure to exhaust steam for a long time indicates that the steam flow rate is too small.
