How to install the intelligent vortex flowmeter?

Project Overview

Received feedback from users regularly: The measurement data of the intelligent vortex flowmeter is obviously on the high side. Since the user installed it themselves, our company immediately sent after-sales technicians to the site after receiving feedback from the user.

After on-site inspection, it was found that there were no problems with the flowmeter parameter settings and wiring, but that the straight pipe section for installation was insufficient, and the distance between the vortex flowmeter and the front-end valve straight pipe section was not enough (the inconsistent outer diameter of the pipe is due to the insulation thickness inconsistent). After-sales technicians removed the vortex flowmeter for inspection and found that the upper part of the vortex generator was significantly darker than the lower part, which was caused by irregularities in the fluid in the pipe. Subsequently, the installation location was changed under the guidance of technical personnel, and the flow rate was normal.

Installation Precautions

1. The pipeline must be purged before installation to prevent damage to the instrument caused by the impact of debris.

2. Reserve enough straight pipe section for installation so that the front end of the flow meter is not too close to the valve.

3. The vortex flowmeter should be installed on a pipe without mechanical vibration as much as possible.

4. The vortex flowmeter should be installed as far away from magnetic and electrical interference as possible.

5. The inner diameter of the pipe must be the same as the inner diameter of the flow meter. If they are different, a pipe slightly larger than the diameter of the sensor should be used. Error: ≤3%.

6. Welding with a vortex flowmeter is strictly prohibited to avoid damage to the circuit board due to excessive welding current.
