How to choose a liquid vortex flowmeter?

Vortex flowmeter is an instrument that measures fluid flow based on the vortex principle. It can measure liquid media and gaseous media. It can be displayed on site or transmitted over long distances, and can be networked with computers to achieve centralized management. So how to choose when encountering a specific medium?

Taking liquid vortex flowmeter as an example (gas and liquid have different parameters), the following factors need to be considered: diameter size, installation method, medium type, temperature, pressure, output signal, display method and whether temperature and pressure compensation is required.

For pipe diameters between DN25 and DN300, you can choose a pipeline-type vortex flowmeter. Once it exceeds DN300, you can only use a plug-in type vortex flowmeter if you want to use a vortex flowmeter. The accuracy of the insertion type vortex flowmeter is lower than that of the pipe type, generally around 2.5%. If this is not acceptable, it is recommended to choose other flow meters such as V-cone flow meters, etc.

For a liquid medium, its fluidity cannot be too poor, among other things. In general, the temperature cannot exceed 320°C, but when it exceeds 80°C, a high-temperature type needs to be selected. The pressure does not exceed 4MPa and can be measured accurately. If you need temperature and pressure compensation in a high-temperature and high-pressure site environment, choose a high-temperature and high-pressure vortex flowmeter.

If the output signal is pulse, there will be no display. The default configuration is to output 4-20mA current signal and 24VDC power supply. Installation methods include flange, clamping, thread, etc. to choose from. If the on-site environment has high hygiene requirements, it is recommended to choose the card installation method. If the pipeline pressure is high, the flange installation has a high pressure rating.
