The balance flow meter is a differential pressure flow meter. Its working principle is that under ideal fluid conditions, the flow rate in the pipeline is proportional to the square root of the differential pressure.
Project Overview
The balance flow meter is a differential pressure flow meter. Its working principle is that under ideal fluid conditions, the flow rate in the pipeline is proportional to the square root of the differential pressure. The measured differential pressure value can be calculated according to Bernoulli's equation.
Common faults and countermeasures of balance flow meters
1. There is a leakage point in the pressure pipe. If there is positive leakage, the indication is low; if there is negative leakage, the indication is high; balance valve Slight leakage, low indication. The solution is to carefully search for leaks in all components on the pipeline (including valves, joints, drains, exhaust valves, etc.).
2. The positive and negative pressure guiding pipes with heating measures are unevenly heated, but have not yet reached the level of vaporization or freezing, causing the unequal density of the condensate in the two pressure guiding pipes to cause errors. Re-correct Trace heat insulation or find a way to make the ambient temperature of the positive and negative pressure pipes the same and the temperature of the condensate in the pipes the same.
Daily maintenance measures for balance flow meters
1. Routine maintenance requires regular sewage discharge, condensation discharge, and exhaust work. If non-measurement media may accumulate in the measuring chamber of the transmitter, the discharge must also be checked regularly. During discharge work, be sure to pay attention to the relevant operating regulations of the instrument system with isolation fluid. For dirty fluids, the accumulated dirt in the pressure-conducting pipelines and transmitters should be blown away regularly by backflushing method based on the actual conditions of on-site operation.
2. For measurement systems with isolation fluid, check and fill the isolation fluid according to the actual situation on site, because during normal operation, the isolation fluid will gradually lose less. If it is not discovered in time, it will cause serious damage. Additional errors will occur, which may seriously damage the instrument. The general experience cycle is to conduct inspection and filling every year before winter.
3. In the cold season in the north, the frequency of patrol inspections must be strengthened. In particular, the instrument heating insulation system installed outdoors must be carefully inspected to prevent the pressure pipe from freezing, rupturing or even damaging the transmitter due to severe cold.
