LUB model vortex flowmeter installation requirements

Project Overview

LUB model vortex flowmeter is a new generation of intelligent metering instrument developed by Supmea Measurement and Control. During installation, the following requirements must be met.

1. Requirements for straight pipe sections

The flow meter must be installed horizontally on the pipe (the pipe inclination is within 50°). During installation, the axis of the flow meter should be concentric with the axis of the pipe, and the flow direction should be Consistent; the length of the upstream pipe of the flow meter should be a straight pipe section of equal diameter not less than 10D. If the installation site allows, it is recommended that the upstream straight pipe section be 20D and the downstream straight pipe section be 5D.

2. Requirements for piping

The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream piping at the flowmeter installation point is the same as the inner diameter of the flowmeter.

3. Requirements for bypass pipes

In order to ensure that the normal use of the medium is not affected during maintenance of the flow meter, cut-off valves should be installed on the front and rear pipes of the flow meter, and at the same time, In the bypass pipeline, the flow meter control valve is installed downstream of the flow meter. When the flow meter is used, the stop valve installed upstream must be fully open to avoid unstable flow in the upstream part of the fluid.

4. Requirements for the external environment

The flow meter is best installed indoors. When it must be installed outdoors, measures must be taken to prevent sun, rain, and lightning protection to avoid affecting the environment. Service life; the flowmeter should be installed in a place that is easy to maintain and free from strong magnetic interference and heat radiation; the flowmeter should be reliably grounded and cannot be shared with the ground wire of the strong current system.

5. Requirements for installation and welding

Before installing the flow meter, the debris in the pipeline should be cleaned; when installing the flow meter, welding of the flow meter and sealing gasket between flanges are not allowed. It cannot be recessed into the pipe to prevent interference with normal flow measurement.
