The measurement of steam vortex flowmeter includes three important parameters: pressure, temperature and frequency.
Project Overview
The measurement of steam vortex flowmeter includes three important parameters: pressure, temperature and frequency. Through the measurement of the above three parameters and the state of the steam, the tonnage of steam is calculated as the basis for settlement.
Steam vortex flowmeter frequency measurement
Steam vortex flowmeter uses the principle of fluid oscillation to measure flow. When the fluid passes through the vortex flow transmitter in the pipeline, The vortex generator of the triangular prism alternates up and down to generate two rows of vortices that are proportional to the flow rate. By measuring the vortex frequency, the average speed v of the fluid flowing through the vortex generator can be calculated. The flow rate q can be calculated from the formula q=vA, where A is the cross-sectional area of the fluid flowing through the vortex generating body. In addition, the vortex flowmeter can also measure the volume flow rate of gas or liquid, the volume flow rate of standard conditions or the volume flow meter of mass flow rate. Pressure and temperature can be measured using pressure transmitters and temperature sensors.
Structure and composition of steam vortex flowmeter
Steam vortex flowmeter consists of a sensor and a converter. The sensor consists of a bluff body (ie, a vortex generator), a detection element, and a shell. The converter is composed of a preamplifier, filter and shaping circuit, D/A converter, output interface circuit, etc. In addition to the basic circuit, the intelligent converter also combines functional modules such as microprocessor, display, HART communication, etc. inside the converter.
The influence of saturated steam and superheated steam on measurement
In the working state of saturated steam, the density of steam is a relatively fixed value. During measurement, only one of pressure or temperature compensation is required, and the quality value of the steam flow meter can be obtained through simple conversion processing. In the working state of superheated steam, the density value of the superheated steam must be measured at all times to ensure the accuracy of steam flow measurement. To ensure accurate measurement, it is generally used in conjunction with a pressure transmitter and a temperature sensor. In addition, whether it is superheated steam or saturated steam, in order to correctly measure the mass flow rate of steam, the changes in steam pressure and temperature must be considered. Generally, we use a flow totalizer to compensate the density of the steam flow meter.
Steam vortex flowmeter is a widely used type of flowmeter and is currently used in many industries such as food, thermal power, biology, and chemical industry.
